School - Day 3 - Biomes

We had our last day with the kids today :( It was pretty fun.  I got to get to know a lot of them.  At the end of our lesson plan we made edible biomes which of course was a hit.  The kids loved that!  We started out with everyone in the computer lab and each computer represented a biome and we had a site up that had the biome, for example, the deciduous forest.  The site also had links to animals and plants with pictures so that they could understand what they are.  It was amazing to see how well the kids understood where all of the biomes are on the world map and understood everything the website was saying, seeing how they are so young.

For lunch we had arroz con pollo again!!! It's seriously sooo good!  And then there's this sauce that everyone uses and it's reallyyyy good!  It has a little bit of spicyness to it but it's nothing too dramatic.  It's called Lizano.  It's like my professor's form of crack.  It adds a really nice flavor to food.  There's also this other sauce called white sauce that the cooks make and it's kind of like Costa Rican ranch.  It has mayonaise and pepper in it.  It sounds really fatty and bad for you but it's sooo good on the salad here!! But anyways I just wanted to do my blog a little bit earlier today because I'll be out late watching Children of a Lesser God for class tonight and won't be done till about 9 or later and then I also have to pack tonight for my home stay.  Sorry I didn't have all that much to write and that the pictures are only of food.  Kara took all the pictures today at the English camp with the kids so I'll eventually have them on my computer!  I'll try and post tomorrow!

Hope all of my family has an amazing time in Cabo!  I know all of you are leaving tomorrow.  Hope I'll be able to still hear from you!  Love you guys :)
